L'Oreal Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream Review

I've been in the market for a good BB cream for a couple of months now. My regular makeup routine is actually pretty simple. It's just blush, contour, eyebrows, and mascara. I usually don't put any type of foundation or powder on my face. I don't like having too much on my face because I hate feeling like I'm wearing a mask. The reason why I wanted something lightweight is for those events that don't need full glam but I still want to look semi decent.

With that being said, I decided to try out L'Oreal's Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream in Medium. After reading many reviews, I had some high hopes for this product. This is actually the first BB cream I ever tried. I've tried CC creams and tinted moisturizers but not BB creams. I was pretty excited. I'm going to be reviewing this product based on the four things it claims to do.

Primes to smooth skin's texture - 4/5
I think this did a pretty good job of smoothing out my skin's texture. I think it blurred some of my big pores but definitely not all of them. Out of all the four claims, the BB cream fulfilled this one the most.

Corrects skin for a healthy looking even complexion - 2/5
Basically, this didn't correct at all. It didn't hide my redness on my nose or my hyperpigmentation. I know it's not a full coverage foundation so I can't expect too much from it. However, I would think it would cover it a little bit.

Hydrates for all day moisture - 4/5
My face gets pretty dry or it gets dry patches. When I tried this, I didn't put on any moisturizer before I applied it. With that being said, this BB cream did a great job of hydrating my face. I had one or two dry patches but it wasn't anything crazy. It felt really good on my face too.

Perfects to hide imperfections - 3/5
Keeping in mind that this is a BB cream, I have to understand that this isn't actually going to hide my imperfections. It's nice that L'Oreal claims that but me and you both know that's not real. In a BB cream? No, no way.

This was a pretty good BB Cream. I didn't like how it made me look gray and ashy. I have a yellow undertone and the color definitely didn't suit my skin tone. It also doesn't help that they only have three shades (like really?!) to pick from. However, it felt really good on my skin. It didn't feel oily or drying nor was it heavy. I ended up returning the BB cream because I really couldn't stand the grayish look it was giving me. If you have a pink undertone, this will probably suit you better.
